The death toll from the gas line explosion in Narayanganj`s Araihazar on Friday rose to three as another person died at a hospital in the capital early Sunday.
The deceased Sohan Miah succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in the morning, 12 hours after his wife passed away.
Earlier, two women -- Kaniz Khadija Nipa, 35, and Chayna Akhtar, 35, died at the institute on Saturday.
Fakhruddin, assistant deputy director of Narayanganj Fire Service, said four people were injured in an illegal gas line explosion on the third floor of a building on Friday night.
Being informed, fire fighters and Araihazar police rescued the injured and took them to Araihazar Upazila Health Complex. Later, they were shifted to the burn institute in the capital.
The other injured Hasina Mamtaj, 55, is now undergoing treatment at the institute.
