Secondary schools to remain closed Thursday due to heatwave

The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has announced that the classes of all secondary schools across the country will remain closed on Thursday (8 June), due to the ongoing heatwave.

The decision was announced through a press release on Wednesday (7 June).

It said the decision has taken considering the health and wellbeing of the students.

Earlier, the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education announced the closure of all government primary schools from June 5 to June 8 due to the severe heatwave across the country.
