First janaza of Serajul Alam Khan held at Baitul Mukarram

The first namaz-e-janaza of Serajul Alam Khan, one of the organisers of the Liberation War, was held at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in the capital at 10 am on Saturday.

The body of Serajul Alam Khan will be taken to his ancestral home in Noakhali's Begumganj upazila where he will be buried next to the grave of his mother at his family graveyard there after a third namaz-e-janaza.

Serajul Alam Khan, Jasad founder, died on Friday afternoon while undergoing treatment at DMCH. He was 82.

Serajul was born on January 6, 1941.

He was a founding member of Swadhin Bangla Biplobi Parishad alias Nucleus. He founded and led Mujib Bahini (also known as BLF) with Tofael Ahmed, Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni, and Abdur Razzaq.
