The Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has issued a show cause notice to its four officials for their negligence to address the waterlogging in New Market and its adjoining areas in the capital within 24 hours following the heavy rainfall on Thursday night.
The officials are -- Assistant Chief Waste Management Officer of DSCC Mohammad Asghar; Waste Management Officer Mohammad Selim Miah, Cleaning Inspector Mohammad Abdun Noor, and Mohammad Sohel.
The officials were asked to come up with their replies within three days, said the notice issued on Sunday.
Many areas were submerged under water following the six-hour long heavy downpour in Dhaka on Thursday night.
