Japan trying to understand overall situation in Bangladesh: Amir Khasru

Following a meeting with Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh Iwama Kiminori in Dhaka on Sunday, BNP standing committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury has said the Japan government is trying to understand both political and human rights situation in Bangladesh.

Ambassador Kiminori also wanted to know whether the situation in Bangladesh would remain investment-friendly if the government changes, he said while talking to reporters after holding a meeting with the Japanese ambassador to Bangladesh at BNP Chairperson's political office at Gulshan in the capital.

 

Earlier, the party leaders held the meeting with the Japanese ambassador in the morning.

The meeting was attended by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, party's standing committee member and chairman of the BNP International Affairs Committee Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, organising secretary and member of the International Affairs Committee Shyama Obaid, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury said they discussed overall political and human rights situation in Bangladesh at the meeting.

Responding to the prime minister's remark that it doesn't matter at all if someone does not go to the USA , he said it is not the prime minister, but the people would decide who will go to which country of the world.
