Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman has attended the Commonwealth foreign ministers’ meeting in London, Bangladesh’s high commission said.

In a statement on Monday (March 9), the high commission said Dr Khalilur Rahman led the Bangladesh delegation at the 26th Commonwealth Foreign Ministers’ Meeting held at Lancaster House.

Prime Minister’s foreign affairs adviser Humayun Kabir and other officials also attended, it said.

Representatives from 56 Commonwealth countries took part in the meeting, the statement said.

It said delegates discussed setting the agenda for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting scheduled for November.

The statement said the meeting also discussed the challenging global situation amid what it described as a decline in rules and order in international institutions.
