The Jatiya Party (JaPa) candidate for Mymensingh-3 constituency, Dr Mustafizur Rahman Akash has withdrawn his candidacy on Wednesday, four days ahead of the 12th parliamentary election.
Mustafizur Rahman Akash, advisor to the party`s Chairman, came up with the announcement at a press briefing held at Gouripur Pres Club in the district on Wenesday afternoon.
Akash complained during the press briefing that his supporters were intimidated by the rivals, they also torn down his poster and vandilised election camps.
"The election is one sided election therefore I have withdrew my candidacy," he said.
He then, urges his supporters to work for the independent candidate of the same constituency.
