A Dhaka court has set February 1 (Thursday) to hold hearing on bail pleas filed by BNP standing committee member Mirza Abbas in nine separate cases against him filed with ital`s Paltan and Ramna Police Stations in the capital.
The court is likely to hold hearing on police plea to show the BNP leader arrested in these cases, as well.
Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Rezaul Karim passed the order on Wednesday, reports BSS.
A total of 11 cases were filed against Abbas following the chaotic situation that unfolded on October 28, 2023.
He was detained on October 31 from his Shahjahanpur home and shown arrested in a case filed under sabotage and explosives substances act with capital`s Shahjahanpur police station.
But he is yet to be shown arrested in total 10 cases, of which five were filed with Paltan Police Station, four with Ramna Police Station and one with Railway Police Station.
