Canada Issues High Travel Advisory for Bangladesh

News Desk

Canada has issued a travel advisory for its citizens visiting Bangladesh, urging them to exercise high caution. The advisory, posted on the country’s official website under the “Travel” section on September 19, highlighted the potential risks of visiting Bangladesh at this time.

The advisory marks Bangladesh with a “yellow” warning, indicating a high level of caution. Meanwhile, the three hilly districts of Bangladesh have been marked with a “red” warning, advising against travel to these areas.

The Canadian government urged its citizens to stay alert due to the potential for protests, clashes, and nationwide strikes or blockades in Bangladesh. The situation could deteriorate quickly without warning, putting travelers at risk.

Regarding the three hilly districts, the advisory further advises citizens to avoid these regions due to the risks of politically motivated violence, kidnappings, and sporadic conflicts among indigenous communities.
