Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus has announced three days of state mourning following the death of BNP chairperson and former prime minister Khaleda Zia.
He has also announced a public holiday on Wednesday (December 31), the day of her funeral prayers (janaza), in observance of her passing.
The Chief Adviser came up with the announcement while addressing the nation around 12 noon today (December 30).
