The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has projected light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds across multiple regions of the nation over the 24-hour period beginning at 9 am on Tuesday.
In a weather bulletin released this morning, state meteorologists indicated that rainfall with brief squalls is expected at numerous locations within the Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions.
Meanwhile, a few areas across the Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions are also likely to experience precipitation.
The weather agency further cautioned that localized instances of moderately heavy to heavy rainfall could occur in parts of the country during this period.
Despite the rain forecasts, overall atmospheric conditions are expected to keep day and night temperatures virtually unchanged nationwide.
According to meteorological records, Sylhet registered the nation`s peak temperature on Monday at 36 degrees Celsius, whereas Narayanganj recorded today`s lowest temperature at 24.7 degrees Celsius.
Over the 24 hours preceding 6:00 AM today, Hatiya logged the highest volume of precipitation in the country, measuring 150 millimeters.
For the capital city of Dhaka, twilight will bring sunset at 6:44 pm today, followed by sunrise Wednesday morning at 5:26 am.
