Additional District Magistrate Md Rezaul Karim confirmed that the former Awami League minister was granted parole from 6am to 6pm tomorrow following an application submitted by her daughter, Tani Dipaboli, through their legal counsel.

Dipu Moni‍‍`s lawyer, Gazi Faisal Islam, stated that Tani Dipaboli met her mother inside the jail around 12pm before formally submitting the parole request to the district administration, initially seeking four days before the 12-hour duration from 6am to 6pm was finalised at around 4:30pm.

Following her release tomorrow morning, Dipu Moni will view her husband‍‍`s body at their Kalabagan residence in Dhaka.

Tawfique Nawaz‍‍`s Namaz-e-Janaza will subsequently be held at Gulshan Azad Mosque, followed by burial at Banani Graveyard.

Barrister Tawfique Nawaz, 76, passed away at around 10:30pm last night while undergoing treatment at the Continental Hospital in Gulshan, Dhaka.

Earlier in the day, prior to the submission and approval of the application, Munshiganj District Jail authorities had noted that no formal request for parole had yet been received.

Jail Superintendent Md Jannat-ul Farhad had clarified that the authorities were awaiting a formal application to proceed in accordance with standard rules before the administrative order was subsequently issued.
