Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has said this year's Eid journey has been free from traffic jams and public sufferings.
The minister was talking to reporters while visiting the overpass constructed near the capital's airport this morning.
Quader said that instructions have been given to the officials concerned to make the return trips smooth and comfortable.
Roads and Highways Department Secretary ABM Amin Ullah Noori, Bridges Department Secretary Manjur Hossain and senior officers were present.
The minister said the government has opened the Padma Bridge to motorcycles for the benefit of the young people.
