The Bangladesh Premier Football League is starting without the number one national stadium of the country due to the renovation work of Bangabandhu National Stadium. This professional league is being held in seven venues of the country from next 3rd February. Abdus Salam Murshedy, senior vice-president of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) and chairman of the league committee, said this.

After the league committee meeting held at the BFF building on Tuesday (January 18), he said, "The league will start on February 3. This was decided in the previous meeting.

Salam Murshedy said it was also discussed about venue at the meeting. This time the game will be played in seven venues of the country. The venues are Sylhet, Munshiganj, Rajshahi, Gopalganj, Tongi, Bashundhara residential area and Comilla. The match will start on February 3 at the rest of the venues except Comilla. And the game in Comilla will start from the second round of the league.

The chairman of the league committee said, "We are considering the convenience of coming and going from Dhaka. With that in mind, the venue and hotel accommodation facilities nearby have been kept in mind. '

He said, ‘There are good arrangements for getting to and from Sylhet. Hotel facilities are also good there. It will take a while to go to Gopalganj by ferry. Gopalganj can be easily reached by taking a bus from Dhaka, then crossing the launch and taking another bus again. '

Abu Naeem Sohag, general secretary of BFF, said, "The venue is not being finalized yet, because, there are 12 teams in league, while there are 7 venues. At least two teams must play in one venue. Even after that a team will remain. If three clubs play in one venue then the condition of that field will not be good. When journalist asks "How many days will it take?" "I will let you know after that," Shohag said.
