Argentina has already confirmed its ticket to the World Cup in Qatar being the second team from the Latin American region. However, Albiceleste's World Cup qualifier mission is not over yet. The two-time world champions will face Chile on January 28 and Colombia on February 2. Argentina have announced their squad ahead of the two matches. However, Lionel Messi did not included in the squad.

Messi will not be in these two matches, of course, it was somewhat speculated. It is because of his fitness and covid issues. However, the Argentine superstar has returned to PSG's warmups after releaving from covid. However, he is still not fully fit. Although Messi is absent, Lionel Scaloni has given place to Lautaro Martinez, Joaquin Correa and Paolo DiBalla.

Injury is the main issue that prevents Messi from starring the team. Messi, who moved to PSG from Barcelona last August, has never been able to settle down in Paris because of injuries or playing for Argentina. In the last round of the qualifying round, for example, Messi, who could not play in the PSG due to injury, recovered from the injury and left to play for Argentina.

PSG was a little angry at that time. After all, the PSG wanted Argentina, who had secured a place in the World Cup, not to call Messi this time. That is what happened in the end.

Goalkeepers are Franco Armani, Esteban Andrada, Emiliano Martinez and Juan Musso. Martinez has been in great form since winning the Copa America last year. He is considered to be the first choice goalkeeper of the team. Defenders for Scaloni's squad are Nahuel Molina, Gonzalo Montiel, Lucas Martinez Quarta, German Petzella, Nicolas Otamendi, Lisandro Martinez, Nicolas Taliafico and Marcos Aquinia.

Argentina without Messi will take the field against the host Chile on January 28 at 6:15 am Bangladesh time. They will then face Colombia in a home match on February 2 at 5.30 am Bangladesh time.
