'I donot enter politics to get any position': Osman

An influential leader of Narayanganj Shamim Osman said, "I did not come into politics to get any position. I am doing politics by paying respect and love to Bangabandhu's family. '

He made the remarks at a press conference on Monday (January 10th).

Regarding the Narayanganj city corporation election, he said, "We do not have a chance to get out of the boat. The boat will win here. No one will be able to beat the boat."

He added, "Attempts are being made to harm the Awami League in various ways. We have to stand against it. Everyone has to work together."

He further said, "Awami League is a very big family. There must be anger and pride in it. I testify to God that we also have small children. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is not just our sister. She is now the sister of the entire Bangladesh. If she can bear mountain-sized pain, why cannot we?"

"When we wake up, others will fall asleep," he said declaring his commencement of election campaign for AL today. Our blood is the blood of freedom fighters. Bangabandhu is our ultimate fate. I do not learn to bow my head in front of anyone. I myself am a storm. This storm does not bow its head in front of anyone. '

Regarding the matter of Godfather, he said, "If anyone wants, he can address Godfather. Anyone can say brother if pleases. Again, you can address father, but not mother. Shamim Osman said, ‘Please don't hurt Chhatra League. They came forward in bad times. Elections don't work by intimidation. Elections don't work by blaming each other. You have to get rid of all pride and prejudices and work for people. Everyone has to go home. This is the base of the boat, this is the land of Awami League. We will win. '
