Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said, 'No case has been filed against the BNP leaders and activists for illogical reasons. A lawsuit had filed against them for involvement in various criminal activities including assault and arson.
The home minister was responding to reporters' queries while distributing blankets among 1,000 cold-stricken people organized by RAB-13 at the eastern end of Dharla Bridge in Pachgachhi union of Kurigram Sadar upazila on Tuesday (January 11).
Speaking as the chief guest, he said, "As RAB is continuously working to curb crime, peace is prevailing in all parts of Bangladesh today." He also praised the Prime Minister's various development activities.
The Home Minister was accompanied by State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Zakir Hossain, RAB Director General Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun, Additional Director General Colonel KM Azad, DIG of Rangpur Range of Police Devdas Bhattacharya, four MPs from four parliamentary constituents in Kurigram, Kurigram Municipal Mayor, Sadar Upazila Chairman, Administrator and Superintendent of Police.
RAB Director General Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun said, "We have come here to strengthen the bond of sincerity among RAB."
