Gold prices rose again in the global market

Gold prices have risen again in the global market. Besides gold, silver and platinum prices have also gone up.

According to The Economic Times, the price of gold has risen by 1.21 percent in the last one week. Silver rose by 2.92 percent and platinum rose by 1.56 percent.

Before the price hike, gold, silver and platinum prices fell slightly in the world market. Gold prices fell 1.76 percent in the previous week. The price of silver decreased by 3.92 percent. And the price of platinum decreased by 73 percent. However, the price of gold rose for three consecutive weeks before that.

A review of the data showed that in the last working day of last week, the price of gold per ounce in the world market decreased by 4.80 dollars or 26 percent. The price of gold has risen by 1.26 percent or 21 dollar in the following week.

The price of gold per ounce stood at 1,817.29 dollars. The previous week's gold price fell to 31.61 dollars. Gold prices rose to 1,827.90 an ounce in the previous three weeks.

However, the price of gold fell for four consecutive weeks in the world market before the price increased for three consecutive weeks. Within a month, the price of gold per ounce fell by about 79, or 4.24 percent.

The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has reduced the price of gold in the domestic market since December 15 due to continuous fall in prices in the world market. At present, the price of the best quality or 22 carat bhari (11.664 grams) gold has been 73 thousand 13 taka.

Besides, 21 carat gold is being sold at 69,984 takas, 18 carat gold is being sold at 61,236 rupees and traditional gold is being sold at 50,914 rupees.

Although the price of gold has been reduced, the price of silver has been fixed.
